Once you have booked your travel arrangements please
pre-register.
To best accomodate you we need to know you are coming
at least two months in advance so please pre-register
by February 28, 2008. We are purchasing very high
quality organic foods wholesale and we will be placing
our orders for dry goods in March. For those of you
who do not pre-register we will have to go out and
purchase more by retail. Therefore we are passing
the savings we get from buying wholesale in advance
on to those who pre-register on time. So please pre-register
by April 28. All registration rates increase on March
1 by $43 to cover our additional costs.
Air Travel
Please book your air travel immediately
to get good rates. This is a busy travel time in
this area and rates will be going up very quickly
and keep rising.
When to Arrive
The festival begins at 1:00 PM on Monday
April 28, 2008. The latest safe airport arrival
times to make the evening program are as follows:
Gainesville (GNV) 3:30PM, Jacksonville (JAX) 2:00
PM, Orlando (MCO) 1:00PM. Most of the flights into
Gainesville arrive late afternoon to late evening.
So unless you can get one of the few morning arrivals
you are probably better of arriving the night before
the festival if you are flying into Gainesville.
Jacksonville and Orlando have many more morning arrivals
but depending on when you book and the rates available
you may find the morning flights are not available
or higher priced and you may find it better to arrive
the day before, especially if you consider that planes
are frequently later than they promise to be.
When to Depart
The festival is completed Sunday May 4 by 8:30 PM if
you want to take a late night flight out. Otherwise
you may leave the festival site anytime before
8:30 AM the day after the festival, Monday
May 5, 2008 and take the earliest flight
you can find.
Please compare air
rates to Gainesville Florida (GNV), Jacksonville
Florida (JAX) and Orlando Florida (MCO). These are
the only airports we will provide transportation
to and from. Any other airport and you will need
to make your own arrangements. When comparing rates
please consider your transportation time and costs
are lowest from Gainesville and highest from Orlando.
If you are staying off-site you will need a rental
car.
Airport Transportation (for those staying
at the festival site).
Gainesville Airport Transportion. Gainesville
is far closer than the other airports and we hope
you choose to fly into Gainesville Aiport. We can
provide transportation to or from Gainesville Airport
for $10 per person. And we can pick up
from Gainesville Airport as late as 3:30PM on the
first day of the festival. If you will arrive
any later than 3:30PM you may instead take any
airport taxi for about $80 or rent a car.
Jacksonville Airport Transportation is the next best.
It is about 90 miles from the festival site.
We can pick you up or drop you off at Jacksonville
Airport for $25 per person. We have
to allow 2-1/2 hours to collect you and your
baggage and get to the festival site. So we will
pick you up from Jacksonville on a festival day
no later than 2:00PM. Any later than that and
you will need to make your own arrangements which
most likely means renting a car.
Orlando Airport Transportation is the furthest
away. It is 150 miles from the site. We can pick
you up or drop you off in Orlando Airport for
$40 per person. We have to allow 3-1/2 hours
to collect you and your baggage and get to the
festival site. So we will pick you up from Orlando
on a festival day no later than 1:00PM. Any later
than that and you will need to make your own
arrangements which most likely means renting
a car.
You must pre-register
for airport rides here.
Airport rides are on a first come first
serve basis due to limited cars and drivers.
The rates for rides are
one way, per person.
Please consider arriving early.Travel on
the day of the festival may be stressful. We suggest
you arrive at least a day before the festival and
stay overnight at a local hotel or with a friend.
Then you can casually show up at 1:00PM the day of
the festial after a good nights rest. The festival
schedule is very full and exciting and you will miss
out on something if you choose to do recreational
or social activities in the area during the festival.
So we invite you to consider the benefits or arriving
two or three days early so you may enjoy swimming
in the local springs or any other recreational or
social activity.
Driving
Go to Click to View Larger Map
Or enter in the following GPS Coordinates in whatever other map service you use SE Biblecamp Rd @29.923394, -82.582169
You can also use these GPS coordinates for your
automobile GPS.
However, these GPS coordinates will take you to
Bible Camp Road but not all the way to the camp.
Once you are
on Bible Camp Road you will still need to keep an
eye out on the left for the driveway to the Florida
Bible Camp and then to follow that driveway to the
camp and festival site.
